Who's it for? Intermediate to veteran paddlers looking for a stable, storable, inflatable canoe that can easily fit in a small vehicle or closet and sets up in under 10 minutes.

The designers of the TC16 were not only able to mimic the best features of a traditional rigid canoe but in many ways surpass them.  The TC16 is a virtually unsinkable, easy to right and re-enter from the water, is a third lighter than comparable rigid canoes, has remarkable primary and secondary stability making it stable to stand in), and bow/stern molds that slice through the water.  This canoe also features a full-length flat planning surface area for additional speed, designed to both create lift and reduce drag at the same time. The entire hull waterline length enables paddling speeds up to 5 miles per hour and the full-length double chine system and removable rear skeg enhance tracking. Three separate air chambers give additional safety.   The TC16 is rugged and is rated for up to Class IV whitewater.  All this in the world's first and only patented all drop stitch inflatable canoe.

3" thick rigid high pressure (10 psi) inflatable drop stitch gunwales that stand 20 inches at the highest points and are set at a 15° angle with a 16' x 25" x 3" thick rigid high pressure (10 psi) inflatable drop stitch floor insure you not only have incredible initial primary stability but you also have outperforming secondary stability. This makes the TC16 much more stable than traditional rigid hull canoes.

Great canoe!

We bought the Sea Eagle 16 a couple years ago. Didn't want to write a review until we used it for a bit. Lots of pros: Well built, easy to pump up and more importantly, deflate and stow. It takes up little space in our RV and that's why we bought it, but didn't want a cheap toy that you sit on the floor and get wet and uncomfortable. Seats are sturdy and a comfortable position. We've had no air leaks yet and durable for fishing with hooks and gear in the boat. I bought a cheap kayak dolly and strap it to the bottom of the boat so I can wheel the canoe with fishing gear to the lake from a campsite.
Not many cons: The D rings on the canoe storage bag don't grip the straps well and loosen easily so the bag gets bigger every time you move it. To solve that I use two ratchet straps after the bag is cinched down. The paddles are a little long for storage in tight spaces. Would be nice if the blades could be removable. The canoe is "kind of stable". It's hard to tip. You can have two people leaned over on one side and it won't roll over. When you are paddling it is very stable and tracks well even with the keels not on. (I never use them) However, when you are sitting still or fishing, there is an annoying little wobble that's worse than most canoes. I would think that's because of the flat bottom. It's not stable unless it's leaning to one side. Takes awhile to get used to it when the other person moves. Other than that, really impressed with it.
